EUGENE -- Even though he was bothered by a groin injury, Post Falls High School graduate Ian Waltz blew past the competition during today's discus finals at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene.

Post Falls High School graduate Ian Waltz will represent the USA in Beijing. As will former Cougar Bernard Lagat (in a second event). Several other local athletes saw their Olympic dreams fall short.
